Why is the flashpoint important?

The flashpoint is the lowest temperature at which a liquid gives off enough vapour to ignite. Lower flashpoints mean easier ignition — not ideal unless you enjoy unplanned fireworks.
Diesel fuel has a flashpoint of around 52°C; our bandsaw oils, however, boast a flashpoint of over 160°C, making them much safer to store and use.

What is a Refractometer?

A refractometer is a nifty handheld tool used to measure the concentration of a solution by detecting how much light bends (refracts) through it. It’s quick, easy to use, and typically costs around £20 — a smart investment for keeping your lubrication ratios on point.
