A familiar name, secured for the future
For many businesses across the UK, Sawmatic had been more than just a supplier. It had been the name you rang when you needed reliable saw blades, trusted advice, and a service that simply got the job done. For decades, Sawmatic customers had depended on that steady support, often with the same familiar faces and the same routine collections and deliveries.
That was why we were proud to share some exciting news. EPS Services & Tooling Ltd (trading as Gerrymet) has acquired all assets and stock of Sawmatic, ensuring the continuation of the service and supply that customers relied on. This step protected the strength of the Sawmatic name while giving it an even more secure foundation, backed by EPS’s wider operational capability.
A trusted name in saw blades since 1979
Sawmatic had been a respected specialist in the supply and servicing of saw blades since 1979. Over the years, the company had supported customers across a wide range of industries, providing dependable products and support for everything from workshop cutting operations to specialist applications.
It had been a legacy built on straight talking service, reliable turnaround, and the simple goal of keeping customers cutting smoothly. EPS had not been there to change what worked. We had been there to protect it and strengthen it.
What changed, and what stayed the same?
Sawmatic ceased operations on 12 December 2025, and from 12 January 2026, EPS (Gerrymet) took over all collections and deliveries, ensuring continuity for customers.
- The Sawmatic telephone number and email address transferred to Gerrymet
- Customers continued receiving collections, deliveries and support as expected
- Mick Broadhurst continued to cover the same areas and call on the same customers
A stronger base, supporting customers long-term
Operations were then run from Gerrymet’s base in Brownhills, bringing Sawmatic customers into the wider EPS service network. This provided additional resilience in stock availability, operational support and customer service systems, ensuring customers had a dependable long-term supplier with the capability to support growth and changing demand.
Invoicing and accounts during the transition
Sawmatic continued invoicing as usual until December 2025. From January 2026, customers were invoiced by EPS Services & Tooling Ltd, once accounts were set up. Payment terms may have differed, so customers were advised to ensure payments during the transition were made to the company shown on the invoice.
A genuine thank you, and an exciting future
This change marked the end of a long chapter for Sawmatic as an independent business, and that mattered. EPS was honoured to be continuing the story.
If you were a Sawmatic customer, the key message was simple: your saw blade supply and servicing continued,
your familiar contacts remained, and the service you relied on was secured for the future.
