EPS invest in new 20,000 sq. ft facility in Wiveliscombe

Somerset based bandsaw producer, EPS Services & Tooling, has relocated to new larger premises to secure its future and increases its monthly servicing capacity above 2000 bandsaws a month.

EPS Services & Tooling decided to relocate after seeing an increase in demand, both home and abroad,  for the bandsaw blades it manufactures and services for the timber processing industry, as well as the blade sharpening services it offers.

The business, which has more than 30 years’ experience operating across the UK and internationally, in countries including Poland, Ireland and North America. Despite the uncertain economic times EPS has continued to grow. The relocation and refurbishment of the new 20,000 sq.ft. site, including re-roofing, re-wiring and new office facilities will enable EPS Services to increase its capacity by two thirds over the next 3 years

Nick Palmer, director at EPS Services & Tooling, said: “The enhanced space and automated machinery is going to give our business a new lease of life, smoothing processes and allowing us to keep up with ongoing demand.

EPS Services and Tooling opened their new site on the 21st June 2019, with Mike Edwards, the former owner, ‘cutting the ribbon’ at the Edwards Industrial Estate, Sandys Moor, in Wiveliscombe. The Development of the Sandys Moor Site by EPS Services & Tooling was supported by a grant from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development with support from LEADER.
