Jack Johnston completing his Modern Apprenticeship in Saw Doctoring at EPS Fife Service Centre

Jack has earned his PIABC Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Tooling Technologies – Saw Doctoring, as well as his SVQ Level 5 in Wood Products Manufacturing.

This achievement marks the culmination of a rigorous three-year training programme, during which Jack has developed specialist skills that strengthen both our team and the wider industry.

Developing Specialist Saw Doctoring Skills

Jack’s apprenticeship has equipped him with the technical knowledge and hands-on expertise required to service, maintain and repair wide bandsaw blades, as well as a broad range of industrial cutting tools, with accuracy and professionalism.

His progression reflects EPS’s ongoing commitment to developing future talent and maintaining high standards in tooling excellence across all our service centres.
