A New Chapter for Kendal Tools & Machinery as It Joins EPS
We’re delighted to welcome Kendal Tools & Machinery to EPS Services & Tooling Ltd as founder John Page prepares for his retirement after nearly four decades supporting customers.
From 5 October 2026, Kendal Tools & Machinery will become part of EPS and continue trading under its familiar name. The move will carry forward the personal service John has built over the years, with the support of the wider EPS team.
Nearly Four Decades of Knowledge and Personal Service
John established Kendal Tools & Machinery in 1987, having learned his trade in the family business, Tyzack’s, in Shoreditch, East London.
From its base in Kendal, Cumbria, the business has supplied customers across the UK mainland, helping everyone from home woodworkers and woodturners to professional joiners, cabinetmakers, schools and colleges.
Over the years, Kendal Tools has built its reputation on specialist knowledge, friendly advice and attention to detail. Whether customers needed help choosing a new machine or finding a spare part, John’s personal approach has been central to the business.
Alongside its range of woodworking machinery and tools, Kendal Tools has developed a specialism in bandsaw and bandmill blades, helping customers find blades to suit their machines and requirements. That experience, and the relationships built along the way, are an important part of what we’re welcoming into EPS.
Familiar Service with Support from EPS
For Kendal Tools customers, it’s business as usual. The website remains fully operational, and the existing telephone number and email addresses will remain in use, so customers can continue to get in touch and place orders through the familiar channels.

“I am very pleased that the business will continue under the Kendal Tools & Machinery name, and I hope this will ensure a smooth and seamless transition for everyone. Although I am retiring, I will be working alongside EPS, the new owners, for several months to help with any teething issues and to provide whatever technical advice and support they may need.”
