EPS enter strategic partnership with LSAB Wood Solutions in the UK

EPS Services & Tooling Ltd have signed an agreement with LSAB from Sweden, to form a strategic partnership. “We are extremely excited with this new partnership. Working with LSAB means that EPS also builds on its own knowledge and together we can provide a stronger service to support our existing customers within the timber industry. It’s simply a win-win situation” says Steve Goodlad, Operations Director at EPS.
EPS & LSAB have already implemented a knowledge sharing program covering a range of areas & processes. LSAB have recently completed major investments in its facilities in northern Sweden and Finland are now utilising the EPS facility in Fife to service customers in Northern England and Scotland.
“We have high demands for our service offer in the Nordic markets and now we will able to offer the same high quality from a UK based location” says Fredrik Ivarsson, Export Manager LSAB. He adds “the purpose is to develop both companies market shares in the UK”.
This first phase will focus on the service of wide band saw blades from the EPS facility in Fife, Scotland. The unit in Kirkcaldy is set up with modern CNC machinery and is strategically located to support sawmills throughout Scotland and Northern England. This means any bandsaw service can be provided within a 1-to-2-week cycle. LSAB and EPS have a strong ambition to become the powerful player in the British market, and in the future, the offering will be expanded to include service for circular saw blades, including maintenance sharpening and re-tipping, and the supply and servicing of other specialist tooling.
